This 70 word themeless was created back in May and was seeded with the two long 15s at 15-Across and 51-Across. The reason for the delay in publishing was — not surprisingly — so it could be reviewed (and then rejected) by a major publisher. That’s fine, I’m going to keep submitting and I am happy to keep getting rejected. Well, “happy” may be the wrong word, maybe “resigned” is a better fit.

A well published crossword author recently posted in one of the Facebook groups that he had 50 puzzles rejected before any were picked up. I’m currently four for four so I guess I shouldn’t be too surprised. Or maybe “hopeful” is a better fit.
